About Wente Family Vineyards
Wente family winery has been pouring in Livermore since 1883, when German immigrant C.H. Wente planted his first 48 acres. The tasting room regulars know to ask about the Wente Clone Chardonnay—it now accounts for over 75% of California's Chardonnay production.
Open daily with tastings in the historic caves, barrel room, or on shaded patios. Wine and food pairings draw the weekend crowd, while weekday visitors often have the estate grounds more to themselves. The restaurant and golf course mean some folks make it a full day.
The Grill offers a great place to relax and enjoy a glass of wine with the exceptional view of the 18th green and surrounding vineyards. Guests can choose from several delicious menu items and enjoy a selection of beverages on our patio.
