Tassajara Ridge Staging Area

The 1.03-acre staging area opens up to the Tassajara Ridge Trail, where dogs run free in separate enclosures for large and small pups while their humans prep for the hike ahead. The trail itself offers 360-degree views across San Ramon, Dublin, and Danville—on clear days you'll spot Mount Diablo rising to the east. Restrooms, water stations, and shade structures make this a comfortable launch point.

Spring brings wildflowers and grazing cows along the rolling ridge, while the open terrain welcomes hikers, mountain bikers, and equestrians year-round. Free parking at the staging area, and those early morning hours mean you can catch sunrise from the ridge if you're motivated enough to make the drive up.
