About Sycamore Grove Regional Park
Sycamore Grove's five miles of trails wind through 364 acres of rolling hills, oak woodlands, and open grasslands in eastern Livermore. The mostly easy terrain works well for families, with wider paths that accommodate hikers, mountain bikers, and equestrians. Free parking at the staging area, though the lot can fill on pleasant weekend mornings.
Founded in 2001 to preserve the area's natural habitat, the park draws regulars who appreciate spotting red-tailed hawks and deer among the sycamore groves. The rural atmosphere feels surprisingly remote despite being minutes from town, with vineyard views adding to the scenic backdrop. Dogs welcome on-leash, and the well-maintained trails stay accessible year-round.
